A decidedly true to type up and coming young sire, whose sporting attitude is imprinted on his face. Antaeus was placed third at the i998 stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse, where he was awarded the maximum score respectively, for jumping, preparedness to perform and constitution. His sire Accord II is regarded as one of the best makers of show jumpers of the younger generation of stallions.

The dam Arabesque derives from a very noble Hanoverian performance line. She is the full sister of the 1982 World Cup winner Aramis/Mario Deslauriers {Canada}, as well as of the approved stallion and multiple advanced class winner Amani and the federal champion mare Arabella. The advanced class show jumper mares Adelane and Anatevka 40 are moreover also full-sisters of Arabesque. Anmut, another representative of this successful dynasty, produced the successful younger generation sire Last Liberty. The grandam Elfenfee must be regarded as one of the most successful mares in the history of the Hanoverian horse breed among other things, because of the legendary "rubbing off effect" of the stallion Argentan I.

Antaeus was first utilised in sport in 2000 and has won show jumper competitions and gained high placements at elementary and intermediate levels under Markus Beerbaum. He has moreover also qualified for the Federal German Showjumping Championship. Due to Markus Beerbaum`s sojourn in Sydney, Antaeus was not fostered in Warendorf. His first foals are convincing by their sportive outfits and top quality basic gaits.He has already presented a number of foals at the Verden elite auctions.
