John Whitaker has extended from being a show jumping rider to launching his own John Whitaker International Ltd clothing range which distributes an extensive range of stylish and durable saddlery, riding wear & equestrian clothing
At the age of 18 John Whitaker began riding Ryan’s Son a horse that had just 50p on his card during the following 14 years they formed a successfull partnership the highlight was winning a Team Silver Medal at the Los Angeles Olympic Games, probabaly the horse John Whitaker is more often associated with is Milton who was the first horse to win over a million pounds, John Whitaker & Milton represented Great Britian many times they won two team golds at European Championships as well as individual silver and team bronze at the World Championships in Stockholm in 1990. Their partnership spanned nearly a decade until John Whitaker retired Milton in 1994. Over the year John Whitaker has had other very sucessfull horse such as Gammon, Grannusch, Welham, Exploit Du Roulard and more recently the stallion Peppermill
