The sire Purioso was an international showjumper. In his performance test he scored 8 for free jumping and an even more impressive 9 under saddle.

• Purioso`s progeny are world famous in showjumping, to name a few - Olympic Wendela, Lavender Blue {winner of the 6 year old Championships}, and Olympic Ambush. The story is the same for dressage. Olympic Cocktail champion Kur to music ridden by Anky van Grunsven, and Vashkar selected for the British Team at the Barcelona Olympic Games.

• Purioso is one of the select few to score high in both the stallion dressage and jumping index. Purioso can be truly proud of his breeding career. Almost 50% of his daughters have become "ster" mares and his sons Bentley and Cocktail are approved sires. Purioso was sired by the famous Furioso II, who also produced the Approved Dutch stallions Thorwald, Voltaire and Forum.

• The dam, Trelana, born in 1977, is a Prestatie mare, the highest accolade for a broodmare. To achieve this, she must have a minimum IBOP test score of 80 and have 6 youngsters with 1st Premium and 7 offspring jumping at 1.30m or more or competing at Z level in dressage.

Performance
• Purioso II (Bandiet} approved SDWA Stallion. He is a Grade B showjumper and a very extravagant mover. In 1995 he started his dressage career and qualified for two Scottish Championships.

• He will continue in dressage for the time being.

• At the grading in 1994, six foals by Purioso II received 1st Premiums and two in 1995.

• As he started his breeding career 5 years ago, his youngstock will be competing in 1996.

• His 2 and 3 year olds have sold well, one being sold to Holland, and all making good prices.
