Renata La Silla

Renata La Silla is a very capable competitor with a spectacular and clean jump. She has blood and character.

Originally under the name Footloose, Renata La Silla jumped successfully in Europe first with Jean Claude Vangeenberghe and then with Jaime Guerra in Aachen, Arnhem, Calgary, Geesteren and others. She was named the best mare of the Netherlands in 1994.

Her sire is the "European Stallion of the Century", Ramiro Z . His offspring can be described with one single word: Sublime.
Ramiro Z is the number one sire of international showjumpers and number two as a sire of broodmares. Some of his most outstanding offspring are Lucinda La Silla, Renata La Silla and the one and only Ratina Z, winner of team gold and individual silver in the Barcelona Olympics of 1992.

Ramiro Z was himself a top competitor in big classes and won consistently despite not being a large horse. Ramiro Z is proven both in the sport at the top level and in breeding. Between 1971 and 1977 he participated at the international level across Europe {Fritz Ligges}. He was highly placed in a wide variety of classes: Puissance (over 2.20 mts} and speed classes at the finest international competitions like Aachen, Hickstead, Wembley, Paris and Rotterdam.

Valine (by Cottage Son XX}, the dam of Ramiro Z, is a direct descendant from Stamm 776, the Holstein line of Achill and Edelbert. Valine, under the name of Corrale, had a succesful sporting career.

Her maternal bloodlines stem from the famous mare Tolly, founder of a dynasty of excellent showjumpers. Tolly was strong, confident, fast and tough. When combined with the blood of Farn, the offspring has to be fabulous, as was Ianja.
When Ianja and Pantheon XX join forces, the result is Tanja, Renata La Silla’s dam.

Renata La Silla is an excellent mother and prolific broodmare:

Alondra La Silla (1997, Alcaméra La Silla}.
Nickolai La Silla (1997, Nureyev La Silla} owned by Leon Melchior.
Alhaja La Silla (1997, Alcaméra La Silla} owned by Leon Melchior.
Regia Q La Silla (1999, Quidam de Revel}.

She also left two top class KWPN sons in Europe who are already competing in Holland: Groetz and Hippolyte, both by Ulft.
