At the age of three sire Kannan was unsuccessfully offered at the KWPN stallion and then he left for abroad. He ended up in Belgian hands and as a seven year old Kannan won the Belgian Championship and he was also successful at the World Championships for young horses. His international successes he delivered with French rider Michel Hecart, with whom in 2005 he was champion of France. The duo also took part in the European Championship in San Patrignano. The way he tackled was the great work of a special class, but the stud was regularly plagued by injuries.
