Dutch championship TREC was held last weekend in Hoenderloo. Seven riders competed in the highest class (T4) against each other. Renske Giesen eventually went away with the title. The first part was Saturday start: POR (oriëntatierit). The participants were about six hours on the road with their route, where they only had to work with their map and a compass. Britain's WEG endurance team of Ros Clapp, Christine Yeoman, David Yeoman (all from Somerset) and Beccy Broughton-Booker had mixed fortunes in the States. After the first four loops, Ros was the fastest of the team riders, with Christine and David not far behind and a medal was on the cards.

Marijke Visser to start World Endurance Championship

Coach Emile Docquier has selected Marijke Visser and Eomer for the Endurance World Championship for Juniors and Young Riders in the French Ibos Tarbes. The twenty strongest youth rider Netherlands currently has, with its mold Eomer much international experience in endurance. Rapid Redux tied the modern-day United States record for wins in a single season Dec. 13, as he went wire-to-wire in a $5,000 starter allowance race at Laurel Park. A Kutt Above and Jeremy Reynolds have been named to the US team's Long List for the 2012 FEI World Endurance Championships later this year, after victory in the recent 160km contest at the Priefert Ranch in Mt Pleasant, Texas.

Two French riders topped the Meydan Open Riders World Ranking for FEI year end results. Virginie Atger, who was ranked fifth in the world last year, topped the list in 2010 by just 14 points over fellow Frenchwoman Sarah Chakil.
