The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the members of the U.S. endurance team at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The list is as follows, in alphabetical order:

The host nation of Kazakhstan captured all the medals at the 2011 FEI Central Asian Endurance Championship staged in Talgar earlier this month. Two French Riders Topped the Meydan Open Riders World Ranking for FEI

Two French riders topped the Meydan Open Riders World Ranking for FEI year end results. Virginie Atger, who was ranked fifth in the world last year, topped the list in 2010 by just 14 points over fellow Frenchwoman Sarah Chakil. Dutch championship TREC was held last weekend in Hoenderloo. Seven riders competed in the highest class (T4) against each other. Renske Giesen eventually went away with the title. Britain's WEG endurance team of Ros Clapp, Christine Yeoman, David Yeoman (all from Somerset) and Beccy Broughton-Booker had mixed fortunes in the States. After the first four loops, Ros was the fastest of the team riders, with Christine and David not far behind and a medal was on the cards.

But after the fifth loop, Ros's horse Nazeeka was eliminated at the vet gate for irregular metabolics, which ended any medal hopes.

The owner of Carmarthenshire's Ffos Las racecourse says its future is safe after securing 26 fixtures next year. Businessman Dai Walters had feared the number of races could be cut to 16 and warned if that happened the course, opened in 2009, would not be viable.
