We are a small company based in East Hertfordshire that provides self drive horsebox hire.We aim to provide local equestrians with the opportunity to transport their own horses, whether you are looking to move your horse to a new home, a show, sponsored ride, veterinary hospital, holiday, or just a day out. Hertfordshire Horsebox Self Drive caters for all of this and more.

As horse owners ourselves, we have arranged Equine Rescue and 24-hour breakdown cover to ensure that all the needs of your horses/ponies are well taken care of, giving you peace of mind. We understand the need for horse transport that is not only comfortable for the horse, but easy to drive and cost effective.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a truly flexible service and are always willing to help in whatever way we can.

We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to discuss your requirements. That includes bank holidays but excludes Christmas Day and New Years Day.

We decided to set up our horsebox hire business shortly after my old horse died. My friend and partner wanted to bring her horse to my yard to keep my pony company. We could not find anyone in our area who offered a self drive service. So we ended up putting him in my old trailer which was very distressing for us all.

Setting up the business turned out to be a lot harder than we first thought. Finding the right insurance was a nightmare but we did eventually find a brilliant company who without their help think we would have given up.
